Shawn Avirett
Shawn has been performing home inspections since 2015 and took ownership of Center State Home Inspections in 2020. He is a Highlands County native, growing up and graduating in Sebring before moving to Southwest Florida to attend school at Florida Gulf Coast University. Shawn served SWFLA as a Home Inspector from 2015-2020 part-time while also teaching High School US History before moving back to Sebring and performing inspections full-time. He is a full-time father to three children and coaches football for Avon Park Youth Football and Cheer.

Mike Avirett
Mike joined Center State Home Inspections in late 2022 and has hit the ground running! He is a dedicated husband and father of two young men. Mike has coached football since 1998 and has coached Sebring High School Varsity Football since 2005, teaching thousands of young men about integrity, hard work and getting the job done right. He continues to coach presently and has brought that same integrity and attitude to Center State Home Inspections.
Mike has been a member of the Sebring Firemen’s Association since 2005 and is a lifelong resident of Polk/Highlands County. Having 30+ years of experience in Residential Construction makes Mike an incredibly valuable asset to our team.
Jimmy Baumgartner
Jimmy Baumgartner has been a licensed Home Inspector for two years and joined Center State Home Inspections in early 2024 and has already shown what a capable inspector he is for our local community.
Jimmy grew up in south Florida and started working in a professional setting at age 16. After high school, Jimmy attended MPT (Maritime Professional Training) in Fort Launderdale, which offered him advanced training in the private yachting industry. He also believes that the duties and responsibilities as a Florida home inspector are similar to that of a Maritime professional, giving him an edge on the competition.
He took his career in the Yachting industry to great lengths over the last decade, traveling all around the North and South Atlantic as well the Pacific NorthWest, serving some high profile clientele in a very demanding work environment. In 2019 Jimmy moved to central Florida where he met his wife. They now have a beautiful baby girl and are enjoying growing their own family while also contributing to the growth of our Center State family.
